Last time I took apart my driver side dash looking for what I needed to tap into to install my keyless entry system. I had a hard time finding the door lock module since I don't know what it looks like And couldn't see the wires well since it was dark and I was using a flash light. Tomorrow I have a day off and want to get this installed. Can someone post pics of the door lock module (or somewhere I can tap into The unlock and lock wires. And I also need to tap Into a constant 12, switched 12 and ground. Ground is easy, but again looking for the ignition harness wires in the dark isn't as easy as it seems if you never went there or saw it before. Help me out? Unlocking with keys is getting annoying... Especially with impatient passengers who walk to the car faster than you

Lol no I know that, but my passenger gets to the car like 10 seconds before me and has to wait the 10 seconds for me to get the door and unlock it. 10 seconds isn't really much but i guess it is to him... Plus keyless is just nice to have

Tap into IA2 for power or ID4 for an after fuse setup as diagramed, as for ignition switch you just have to look from below it and it has labels on the connector for which wire is what. Sorry dont have pics of the real thing to help but hope this helps somewhat.

The deed is done. I skipped out on adding the alarm and a lot of the extra features my cheap little system came with. I had a pyle pwd701 keyless entry and alarm. Literally like $33 from amazon (order it with an add on item for the free shipping) with everything needed except wire splice connectors. I wasn't going to use the splice connectors and was just going to cut and solder all the connections, but then i hesitated about cutting wires and ordered a 35 pack of the connectors for about $7 on amazon. Easy install too, (it wasn't at first when i couldn't read anything in the dark lol)

For the constant 12V I tapped the constant 12 on the radio harness, I also hooked up the parking light polarity to that as well.
The ground i tapped again the ground on the radio harness
I hooked up the parking light wire to the green wire on the dimmer switch.

Tested the remote out, and sure enough one flash on my gauges and DRLs when i lock, Two flashes when i unlock.

Then i unbolted the door lock module (one 10mm endcap bolt). Its to the right of the steering column, the only blue box there, no need to unplug it Tapped into the blue wire with the thin black stripe on it for the lock wire.
Then the solid blue unlock wire i hooked up to the unlock wire. I thought id also need the green wire since i was reading about two wires... But its unneeded. I didn't need to diode isolate the unlock wires.

The diode isolation that a lot of alarm installs mention, i assume is for the door switches that turn on the dome light, so that the alarm can go off when the door is opened, But if they aren't diode isolated, only one side will set the alarm off...? Let me know if I'm correct about this since I'm going to install the siren, and alarm system wires later this week on my next day off along with my sub and amp when the amp comes in the mail biggrin.gif

Thanks for the diagrams btw
