hi i have a 1994 celica st with the 1.8l motor, its almost impossible to get good heat out of my celica ever since i upgraded my radiator to a 3 core, im not sure if that is what is affecting it, but i do know if i have more flow then i will be much better off. does anyone know if they make any high flow water pumps for these cars? or if they have an electric water pump by any chance?

replace your thermostat. Doesn't matter what radiator or flowrate you have, a thermostat will still get the same temp

sorry i wasnt spefific, i meant its almost impossible to get good heat out of my heater, the car gets to operating temp no problem but i cant seem to get heat in the celica. so with that in mind i would hoping to find a higher flow water pump and maybe that will cure my problem. but then again thats not really the right way to go about this problem, however its still nice to see if anyone does make a high flow water pump for the car.

The gauge inside of the car doesn't really mean much of anything. You need to see what the actual temperature is by using an actual gauge. Should have heat provided the heater core isn't clogged.

Check to see that the heater core valve in the engine bay is connected to the heater control.

Hit the junk yards and grab a heater core pump off a V6 Saturn L300, should push more water through even at idle.

Yea, they added a pump to boost coolant flow through the heater core for better heat at idle. You should be able to snag one from the junk yard and install in the supply line to the heater core to push more coolant through it at idle and low engine speed for better heat.

Whatever will fit the hoses best. Or any constant duty capable pump that will play with 250F coolant.

how about you find out what the real problem is instead of putting a band aid on it?
