Hello, I'm a regular on celica.net, and though I own a 5th gen, I figured I'd sign up here to have some fun and learn more about the 6th gen celica (honestly, I would buy one if i had the money and didn't have so many plans for my GT). So, I'd just like to say you've got a great forum going on here, and I hope to learn a lot from everyone. biggrin.gif

Currently, I've had to spend over 2k in repairs due to not checking over the car correctly when I bought it. But, in terms of modification I have an ACT Clutch kit (with organic disc), custom short ram intake cut from a 3" civic intake (soon to have a K&N at the end of it, along with heat wrap and a new cold air box with cold air vented to it), Ultimate Performance strut bar, Clarion DXZ525 receiver, white face indiglo gauges, and Sylvania silverstar headlights.

I am currently designing a sound system built for competition in the 301-600 watt power range (I will be competing in USAC primarily) and also built for the budget minded person. I am also thinking of dropping a newer 5sfe in the car with fewer miles, or upgrading to a 2nd gen 3sge for some NA reliability and decent power increase. Other mods planned are H&R Sport Springs with KYB GR-2 struts, 16" Rota Slipstreams for weight conservation and price, and a few other things. However, they are pipe dreams while I pay off the debt I'm in for brake work...

Thanks for your interest, I apologize for the long post wink.gif

Welcome to the boards. We're always happy to see new faces. And don't worry about 'only' having a 5th gen, they are basically the same as the 6th(for the most part, a lot of suspension components are the same).
