Hi,
2-3 weeks ago my ST205 start running too rich, can smell fuel from the back.
light throttle looks fine, just a little bit smell(fuel) from the back
big boost get clouds of black smoke more than normal, not just more than normal, before that there is no any smoke or smells on big boost - my car is only 90000 km and is in perfect condition, engine is like new, turbo is like new,no any smoke on big boost until this problem?
the car is standard running gear ... no mods, only downpipe, but fited along time ago.
no ECU error codes, just old one storage in ECU 54 - low intercooler level,i have been changing pump bearings last summer, after this no problems with thah.
check all vacuums - looks ok
check o2 sensor - looks ok
new spark plugs and leads - no leaks
please help
thanks in advance

Unplug your battery and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes. This will reset the ecu. Reconnect the battery, start the car and let it idle for about another 10-15 so it can readjust fuel and etc.

GT4s are known to run rich, it's weird it's just started doing it, maybe it's the cold weather.
Is there a cloud behind you if you are pulling off in 1st gear?

yes the big cloud black smoke behind me is on 1st gear on big boost!on 2nd,3,4,5 clouds are smaller!
something strange happen ... there is no error codes on the dashboard but just run diagnostic on the car and comes two errors ... code 21- O2 sensor and code 00084 - don't know what is this!?when we start the car and let it idle code 21 showed LEAN and after 2 min. showed RICH!?
probably the O2 sensor is lazy or something like this!?
so i thing i have to change O2 sensor!??
or you have any other proposals!??
thanks in advance

x2

o2 sensor is what the ecu uses for both short term and long term fuel trims. If its bad, it will never learn the long term fuel trim and make the car run excessively rich all of the time.

replace the o2 sensor but still the same problem
same error code 21 comes on ...?
the new sensor is denso, diagnostics now showed normal - LEAN,RICH and changing, the old one showed LAZY,so i think the new one is working fine, but the error comes on.
the only different between the old one and the new one is resistance - old one shows 7,the new one shows 10 ohm!
please help
