The radiator on my ST205 is leaking. I tried pouring in the stop leak fluids with aluminum bits to seal it but it didn't work.
Does anyone know the OEM part number for a new radiator? Does the ST205 have the same radiator as a more common toyota that I can find at a junk/parts yard? If so what model and year? Any help would be much appreciated. -------------------- |

Sure thing! If you go to autozone and order one for a 94-99 GT celica it's the same size, core thickness and outlet locations as the 205. Had the same issue with my swapped ST not long ago. Hope this helps!

Yup, radiator for the ST204 be the same. I want to say Koyo makes an o.e. replacement, I'd go with them if I were buying new.

I'd say buy an aluminum one will you're at it. More expensive but worth it.

If your car is mostly stock I'd just go with the Koyo o.e. replacement, the original plastic tanked radiator made it this long so the next should outlive the car. Especially being you need a clutch soon the money saved between an o.e. replacement and a good aftermarket radiator would cover a clutch kit.

If your car is mostly stock I'd just go with the Koyo o.e. replacement, the original plastic tanked radiator made it this long so the next should outlive the car. Especially being you need a clutch soon the money saved between an o.e. replacement and a good aftermarket radiator would cover a clutch kit. Good call. That's what I'm going to do. From what I've read, ST205 clutch jobs can be long, like 15-20hrs at the shop because the gearbox needs to be removed? Might have to pass the car onto someone else and move on if that's the case... -------------------- |

Every car the transmission has to be dropped to change the clutch, AWD is just a real pain since it's like doing a clutch job for a FWD and RWD car all in one. If you mechanically savvy I'd look into doing it myself, that or maybe you have friends or family that could help you out.

If you mechanically savvy I'd look into doing it myself, that or maybe you have friends or family that could help you out. I'm somewhat Savy but not enough for a clutch job. Can't afford to have the car down for a few days if things go sideways haha. Thanks! You'll actually have to drop the whole engine/tranny assembly to change the clutch. I think there is a way to do it without dropping the trans, but it isn't easy. gt40c has a detailed explanation. I got quoted 24 hours to do a clutch job by vex in red deer, ab. Nick |
