Great build! I really like the boost gauge in the cluster! Also why so light on the boost, that 205 engine would love it if you turned up to 15lbs

It takes 8,460 bolts to assemble an automobile, and one nut to scatter it all over the road.

Celica: The name is derived from the Spanish word for "heavenly" or "celestial".

Still testing stuff out. Needless to say, the slipping clutch didn't help!

October 10th, 2015

Stuff has arrived and stuff needs to be replaced.

Removing the rear main seal.

New OEM seal.

Resurfaced OEM flywheel. Opted against using the Fidanza one.

Sexy surface.

ARP Flywheel bolts and Loctite 242.

Installed and torqued to spec. What a PITA to hold the flywheel in place to do it.

Clutchmaster FX300 fitted.

New OEM pressure plate bolts.

Installed and torqued to spec. Torque specs was rather low in the manual (17-20 ft lb iirc) so I added some loctite.

Pricey moly paste and OEM throwout bearing.

Lubing the slave contact.

Lubing the bearing contact points.

Lubing the pivot.

Installed.

Close up. You can see the nice thin layer of moly lube on the shaft. I put a very slight layer of antiseize on the spline as well.

Back together. Probably throw it back in the car tomorrow or next weekend.

bro, I'm so sorry you bought an fx300. I've had a terrible experience with clutchmasters. They sent me the wrong TOB, which needed to be replaced after a few k. They sent me an oil soaked clutch disc, which would have cost another 15 hours of labor to replace had I not noticed it. They sent a flywheel and PP that didn't look new, and worst of all they charged me a restocking fee on a defective item. I hope your experience is better than mine...

Also make damn sure the step height on your flywheel is between .018 and .022" or the engagement will be crap
