My check engine light came on about 2 weeks ago. The error code is 12. It was running fine until yesterday. Now it is stuttering at lower RPMs. Any ideas on the problem?

Let me know if you need more info.

Thanks,
jcrog

How do I check the wiring? On the way home the idle was rough and low RPMs.(around 700)

Ok I replaced the plugs, wires, rotor and cap. Runs well but the CEL is still on. I disconnected the ECU and reconnected it as well. Any ideas??

I also removed the negative cable to try and clear the CODE. No luck still getting DTC 12.

Thanks

did you check the wiring between the distributor and ECU?

the ECU is not getting the RPM signal, this is either the distributor, wiring, or the ECU
