The two 12mm bolts that fasten the center member to the front of the frame right here
![]() When I first bought the car it had one of these as the proper 12mm grade 8 bolt, and the other turned out to be just a lag screw jammed in the hole. So the threads of that hole are ruined and I am wonder if any of you guys know for sure if there is enough metal up there to just drill it out and do a standard helicoil repair? Or am I going to have to go to more drastic measures? -------------------- Bust a Deal; Face the Wheel.

Should be enough metal to drill it out to a larger size and tap new threads, could use a standard bolt instead of the next metric size.
