The 3-spoke steering wheel in my '99 celica is beat to crap.
I was wondering if I can replace it with a mint 4-spoke steering wheel from a '97 celica ST with no cruise control with very little to no modifications needed. Will the cruise control in my '99 be compromised? Also, are '94-95 celica steering wheels that have cruise control interchangeable with the '98-99 steering wheels with cruise control? Thanks. |

People go from the 4 spoke to the three spoke all of the time, they also use the wheel from the 7th gen Celica. There are a few guides out there for going from the 4 spoke to the 3 spoke, just do the opposite.

In short yes, everything your questioning is possible with no modification. The biggest deal with most of us that switch to the 7th gen wheel is swapping the air bag connector to make the airbag functional and if you want to use one with cruise, you have to solder in resistors that match what the 6th gen has for its stalk. As long as you stay in our gen, you won't have to modify anything and basically be able to do everything plug and play like. -------------------- 1997 ST:Limitedly Green
