Convertible top - how long to drop Options

How long does your convertible top take to drop? Also, if you keep holding the up/down button a second after the top stops moving do you continue to hear the motors run? I think the pins in my motors (that I've read about breaking) may have failed as my top is slow to go up/down and the motors will keep running if you don't let up on the switch once the top has reached the full up/down position. It also seems a little slanted when moving. Maybe I'll have to go manual until I get the motors repaired, I don't want to risk breaking the top frame.
