I got an optima battery, there very good, but what u need to fix the dimming problem is a capacitor, u run it in between the power wire from the battery to the amplifier. what it does is store power and shoots it out when u need it so it doesnt take the power directly from the battery when your subs thomp, that way the power is still running to your other electricals.

Optima is a brand of battery. It's made by Interstate - and is a gel cell type of sealed battery. There are a few different models:

Red top - standard starting battery.
Yellow top - Deep cycle battery (designed to be discharged & recharged)
Orange top - same as red top except the terminals are reversed.

I have the Yellow one but it still dimmed my lights with the battery! So i would suggest, getting a.........DA*N i cant think of the name of it right now. It is rated in Fareds! Anyways the battery does help. It brightens the lights!!! Big time!
