Hello fellow Celica owners!
I know a few of us with the 5sfe are having issues with our Celicas not liking cold mornings. I had the horrible loss of power, sputtering, trouble going up hills when the car was cold or after driving at highway speeds for a while, low idle, stalling and needing to keep my foot on the gas pedal for a few seconds when I first started the car on any morning if ambient temperature was below 40*F (4*C). Every post I've read said change temperature sensors. I did that and it didnt work. My 5sfe does not have a cold start injector like someone told me. Okay, so what I did was grab a MAP sensor from the junk yard and put it in for ****s and giggles and now I have no issues with cold start or power loss. So if anyone here has the same problems I did, try the MAP sensor. It might just do the trick. Best Regards, JohnnyCeee |
