Well, ive gotten itchy to drive the vert in a track however, they wont allow it because our stupid cars dont have a roll bar.
Has anyone seen a vert with a rollbar, or a picture. I cant find any. I was hoping to create something that can be removable, by removing the seats in the rear, and bolting a bar, and viceversa. I dont mind fabricating. but it would be nice to see something... -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... i did order the jegs hoop for the nova/ventura. 1 3/4 with 0.134 mild steel wall.
however its 6 to 7 inches wider than i need. The plans is to have this.. a removable bar.. found on this website.. http://www.fiestaturbo.com/forums/roll-cen...e-diag-vt56944/ Unfortunately wont let you ride a convertible with no kind of bar.. Back to the bar itself, i have to shorten the main hoop by 6 inches or so, but i dont want to just weld the bar, and my research has found the safety plug, safety slug, whatever you call it. Basically which is basically a way to repair bent hoops, and still have safety. http://www.tmrcustoms.com/store/index.php?...roducts_id=1773 problem is that they only have for 0.120 wall and not 0.134 wall. I have messaged them, to see what they think. removing the bar when i want to reinsert the seats... The kit so far is only 200 bucks. Its only to meet a requirement, that we all know a vert that rolls is no bueno, regarding anything you may or may not have. So please no lessons, here. Any roll bar in a convertible is not safe, period. Even roll cage not safe, its a convertible. Just want to take the 2GR few laps a year on the track for fun. so ill keep posted, or if you know of a plug for a 1 3/4 bar with 0.134 wall, let me know. -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years...
