Hello all, I have a 98 Convertible with the premium sound system and am looking to return the original head unit back in, Does anyone have pics or still have the original head unit hooked to the factory amps? I know how the amps connect but there doesnt seem to be anything to hook the head unit up at all. The previous owner used the harness that goes to the under seat amp somehow, but the after market didnt work either. Any help would be awesome,Thanks!!

PM me your email and I will email you some pictures this evening. I have a couple of single din and one double din. I updated mine to a later model. My car is 1996 ST. Not premium sound though.

thanks

Here are pics of the stereo currently in my 98 GT convertible. If the radio I got from njccmd2002 works, I'm going to be swapping it out as an "upgrade", so to speak (trying to keep as much as stock as possible). The power antenna on the radio does the "go up when only the radio is active and goes down then there's a total power down or output other than stereo is selected" thing.

And here's it on video (when I installed it after taking the ugly aftermarket out).

For info, my car also has the deluxe, ultra-special, premium, 8-speaker sound system with the fancy, ultra powerful, amps. If you look closely, you'll see new speakers - that was a project I did a while back, replacing the four in the front and the two in the rear. MUCH better sound.
