So I've slowly been working on my 1994 Celica GT to change the head gasket because it blew. This is my first big job on a car and I've noticed that I have a lot of room in my engine. I was wondering if there are any maintenance or performance jobs to be done while I have my head out. I don't want any major mods that will take awhile or VERY expensive mods, just maybe a few things here and there that would help my engine or boost it's performance. Anything help/advise would be greatly appreciated.

And if you want to get Sassy you can hand lap the valves to make a nice tight seal.
It will be more time and effort in reading and learning than it will money. But it can make a bit of a difference in how it performs.
