Has anyone tried any of the scion or other model toyota trd quick shifter for the 6gc? They almost all look the same. Same basic set up. I don't have one of each to actually compare them to each other but from ebay and Google pictures they look nearly the same. A lot of us just used the cheap 7th gen short shifter but it sucks, it's not smooth and finding a real trd quick shifter for our cars isn't an easy task nor a decent price haha. I've read the 7th gen trd quick shifter works but I can't even find it anywhere either. I can find scion Xb trd shifters for 140ish and they do look the same. I'm half tempted to just buy it and give it a shot and return it if it doesn't fit lol but I'd rather know for sure before hand.

I know the 9th gen Corolla and the Scion TC quick shifters where interchangeable, but I don't know about our cars. I'd love to have a red shifter again.

That base is smaller. Go to the yard and get a used ts shifter and see if fits

I sent a few eBay messages to people selling the oem shifters and asked for measurements.

What one did you buy? I bought the ralco rz one and it's horrible. Super notchy I also used the bushings as well. The oem one was super smooth. I did buy the ralco,rz 6th gen shifter for old celica it was 20x better but also 2x the price. Reason I went with ralco rz for 7th gen was I had it In 6th and it was peachy. If I knew the 7th gen version of the ralco rz shifter was as bad as it is I would've bought the 6th or twm.

The bushings I used were blue so it might be Megan Racing, but I bought a generic label 7GC unit. I didn't have a stock shifter to compare it to, but I would describe it as notchier than similar Toyotas I have driven. I would not go so far as to call it notchy though.

Bought the Meagan Racing Short Shifter, I'm finding this to be a smother shift then the stock shifter.

If any one is interested in doing this upgrade and is worried about the difficulty don't sweat it.
With the exception of needing to pull the bottom of the dash apart for the G6 this video is a great guide to getting the job done
with little hassle.

With pulling the extra parts out to have better access to the shift assembly I got the job done in 1 hr 50 min.

Hope this helps.
