1997 Celica GT 3sgte, $7500
This is a 1997 Toyota Celica GT Convertible with a 4th generation 3sgte swap. The car has 143,700 miles on the chassis and less than 60,000 miles on the motor. This motor was freshly swapped (completed in Jan 2017) and has only been driven approximately 1000 miles since the swap. The 3sgte comes out of a 1998-2002 JDM Toyota Caldina. Since the new engine is an unmodified and fully inspected OEM motor with the stock ECU it will maintain the reliability that Toyota is so well known for. It is advertised that this motor on 12 psi of boost produces 256 horsepower with boosting kicking in as low as 2200 rpm. This engine has the potential for more power with a boost controller and the proper supporting mods. The car also benefits from the stiffer chassis due to the factory reinforcements in place because of it being a convertible. There is little to no body rust due to spending all of its life in the dry warm weather of California, Arizona, and New Mexico. The car has been garaged from when I purchased it in 2012 to now. All the amenities (AC, heat, power windows, etc.) on the car are in working order. The interior is stock and there is a small tear in the front driver side seat. To buy and build a car like this in today’s market (if you can find a clean chassis) would cost in the neighborhood of $12-15K. See all features and modifications below. The title is clean.
