Hi, new member here! love the celica! alright, question is would enkei 5+ 17's with 225/50/17 tires fit on a 97 celica gt?? the ebay link to them is http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=38662

for that price I would get them and then get new tires cause your gona want a 45 series profile on them.

I'd think that even 45's would be too big. You might want to go with 35's or 40's.

Dude 45's are perfect. They will keep you from bending a rim or worse busting a tire. Plus its a better ride than on 40's or 35's. But 35's are more for 18's and higher.

Yeah, your right. For some reason I was thinking 18's. I used to have 17's with a 45 series tire and they just seemed to look a bit big. I didn't bother changing them because of the region that I live in. (The Northeast; Rhode Island to be exact) We have some nasty roads up here due to all the snowplows creating all the ruts. If I lived more in the southern region of the country, I'd be sporting a lower profile tire.
