thanks for the links and info. I perosnally wouldn't risk damaging my crank, even if it supposedly wouldn't do it harm, just because the gains are so minimal. But, at least now I'm smarter!

i would probably not choose the UD flywheel as my first choice on flywheels. look around at the other flywheels offered, there are alot!

ive only heard of the fidanza and the clutch masters, any opinion on either of those? they seem to be the most popular. any notable difference between the two?

The Corolla GTS came with the 4AGE. The SW MR2's and the Camry UD pulleys and flywheels should all be the same... so they will fit. The Corolla's won't fit the GT, but I'm about 90% positive the Corolla GTS 4AGE flywheels do fit the Celica ST's (not the pulley; slightly different locations). You'd probably need to change the clutch to match, but it should all bolt-up.

So except UD's pulley, what u guys recommend??
By the way, in the flywheel, UD and Fidanza, which one is better??
In price, Fidanza is cheaper than former a little bit!!

Yeah, the rumors about damage to the crank has scared me from getting an underdrive pulley. Even though I am almost sure they are false due to the numerous websites with proof that disprove the rumors, its better to be safe than sorry just for 5-6 horsepower, 7-10 torque (according to the dynos on UR's website of similar cars).

For my swap I wanted to get the HKS Flywheel, but it would have taken 3 or more weeks to get here. So I went with clutchmaster.

One of the cool things about aluminum flywheels is they come with a steel insert, every time you get a new clutch you just replace the insert instead of refinishing your flywheel.

Aluminum Flywheels are made by clutchmaster, fidanza, and UD. Basically a flywheel is a flywheel! If it comes in blue or purple or whatever it dosnt matter because it is a non visible part!

I have a Findanza flywheel in my '95 ST. It came in just above 1/2 of what the stock flywheel weighed. Definitely made a difference in how quickly the car revs and drives. It's been installed since January 2001, about 35,000 miles with no complaints at all.

Got the flywheel from Cyberauto.

Hi, dude
Does it expensive to install the flywheel into the engine, coz we need to put the engine out of the car!!

I'm not sure how much it'd cost you to have the flywheel replaced. I pulled my own engine/tranny when I installed the clutch, as I also needed to replace my timing belt. (Engine's quite easy to work on outside the car, heh)

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

a flywheel should only be installed with a new clutch, not mid clutch. so they already have to take out the tranny for this, its a matter of a few bolts at that point.
