EHT are great street daily pads, I love them on my Mazda. They're a little harsh on the rotors, by the time the pads are done the rotors will likely be as well, similar to a european pad.

I don't know if it was just the track I was at or what (Palmer Motorsports Park), but my car was completely fine with the Wagner thermoquiet pads I had on it. No fade, very minimal wear, and no glazing from what I could see. Granted, I was only running 30 minute session with and in-car instructor, but I was still getting on them hard at times, especially after the 100mph front stretch..

If you had ample cool down between hard use then that's probably why, and the instructor was probably pretty good at keeping you off the brakes.
