I'll check my pile, I should have one for you. I have a 99 I scrapped I while ago, but I'm pretty sure I kept the ECU. I've also sent a link to your post to a buddy that has parted out double digits.

You need to get to your ECU (under center console, in from of the shifter assembly) and read the PN of your actual ECU. Then hop on eBay and search for that PN and hope you find one. Short of that, you can try to go by the build date on your chassis, or by your VIN at ToyoDIY.com, and pick out the ECU based on that and hope it's the correct one.

Here's a list of potential ECU PNs from ToyoDIY.com
89661-2G031 CALIFORNIA SPEC 1 $1,683.92
89661-2G110 (12/1997 - 07/1998) 1 $1,683.92
89661-2G260 CALIFORNIA SPEC (08/1998 - 09/1998) 1 $1,683.92
89661-2G261 CALIFORNIA SPEC (10/1998 - 03/1999) 1 $1,683.92
89661-2G280 (08/1998 - 09/1998) 1 $1,683.92
89661-2G281 (10/1998 - 03/1999) 1 $1,683.92

You can also hop on car-part.com and search by year/make/model and start calling once you know which model you need. Often cheaper than ebay.

Part Number. Ensures that you get the correct computer. There are minor revisions going on throughout the production run of every model, improvements and fixes. If you get the wrong one it may work fine or it may not, nobody besides Toyota knows, hence why it's safest to replace something like a computer with an identical part.
