Just a bit bummed out. They stole my 13’ Silverado last weekend and yet to be found.
Can someone explain to me how vehicles are stolen without the key and how what they do to them /:
But other than that my Celi is safe (:

Also drop your story if you have had a car stolen and if you got it back.

They can tow then away pretty easily. There's also software hacks or even ways of fooling the computer to think the key is present, especially if it had aftermarket remote start or even factory remote start, they can steal the key code when it's broadcast.

did you leave your door unlocked? cuz that would be the easier way for them to steal it. then just hot wire or whatever and drive off. if not, yeah there's lots of devices used for sending signals to unlock cars and whatnot these days. it sucks.

My car didn't get stolen but when I was driving my craprolla, it was the only night I didn't lock the doors because manual locks and I was too lazy but it got broken into. Of course, nothing was stolen other than a $15 pair of sunglasses which I was actually pissed about because they actually fit my head just right. (i have a big head and "normal" sunglasses don't fit my head). Funny thing was, I had left my jump starter laying in the back seat and it was worth at least $80 but the thief was too dumb to see value in that. lol

I've seen tow truck drivers use these to tow cars from my old apartment complex. In and out in less than a minute with a 3-man team.
