I'd rather have metallic gunmetal if it were my car. I think it looks better in my opinion, plus it won't be as hard to keep clean. wink.gif

Whenever I get the money together(probably fall) I'm getting House of Kolors Black Pearl Midnite Blue. It looks black in the shade and at night, but if it catches the sunlight or someones headlights it has a dark blue tint to it. It's a pearl, so it looks almost like a metallic. I've got the HOK paint book, and the Black Pearl series is just awesome.
Properly done it costs around 1200, and that's not including having the car sanded down and primered. It's also tough to find shops that will work with HOK(around here at least) because of how hard it is to blend properly if the base coat isn't 100% even.

oh man, HOK requires certain baking methods and as you said, a perfect base. But the results are absolutely worth it. Sorry if I'm stealing your idea, but I am definitely going to look into that color.

Won't bother me. Even if we get the same color, it might turn out slightly different. Besides, my friend has a 95 coupe that he's planning on getting Black Pearl Jade(turns dark green).
Hopefully I'll have my Blitz front(already have it), Z sides(tax return), and painted by fall. Just had a setback though, I need to have my strut tower rewelded and replace about $200 worth of bushings/mounts/CV joints. And the way the engine is burning oil lately, I might just get a second car(always wanted a RWD Corolla) this summer and let the Celica sit for a while so I can do things right and not worry about having to drive it the next day(looking into 4A swaps or possibly rebuiling the 7A with performance parts).

OOBE, it's a custom color. It's like plum crazy or some crap, it's just purple with red metallic flake.
