Im going to see it tomorrow, but I would like to know if any of you have any idea what size a 300 dollar dent might be just to ease my mind smile.gif

have him reduce the price by 300.

its on their lot for 5,480 and my moms really close family friend works for another dealer owned by the same guy (same car database) and he told us that they paid 3000 for it at an auction and for us to offer 3700 and hell take it.

so im allready getting it dirt cheap , i dont mind a small dent

You are getting the car at a very low price. Just make sure that the engine is ok. And dont worry about the dent. It may be nothing. You may not want to fix it after you see it.

My 2 cents. They are telling you $300 but nomatter how large is the dent i do not think it costs more than $100 for them to fix it. They just want to pressure you to let them fix it and get some more profit. Ask around before you fix anyhting.

In my country, they usually charge according to the pieces painted. So a dint in the door means that the whole door must be repainted but it is considered one piece. The painters usually charge the hassle to go buy the paint and the effort to clean their equipment afterwards.

And just to let you know that i know what i am talking about, my GT4 was a tipped over car. I had to cut off the rrof and reweld another roof and paint the whole car again. The whole thing lasted 8 months and about $4k. The actual work was 4 days of repairs and 2-3 days for paint. My uncle is a dealer and you cannot believe the things he fixes up and they end up looking like new.
