The 6th Gen shifter does not need all the parts in the pic above. Mine only came with the shifter, a tool for getting the little ball joints off, and an extra clip. I am very happy with this shifter.

Install was quick. I purchased a $3 tube of high temp grease to make it smoother. Super awesome short shifts. I couldn't drive a car w/o a short shifter.
